Viral hepatitis is infalammation of the liver caused by Virus.

The special group of viruses that particularly affect the liver can now be classified into 6 categories such as Hepatitis Type A, B, C, D, E and G virus. All these types of viruses produce similar clinical ilnesses including jaundice ( yellow eyes and skin), fever ( usually low grade), abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite and dark urine.
